Refund Policy

Laid Off in America sells one-time, non-recurring digital products (the Layoff Document Self-Check, the Full Layoff Triage Report, and Document Clarity). There is no subscription. This page explains how refunds work.

14-day refund window

You can request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date. This mirrors the refund window stated in our Terms and the standard window applied by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.

How to request a refund

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record for every order, refunds are issued by Paddle. You have two ways to request one:

  • Self-serve at paddle.net. Look up your order using the email address you purchased with.
  • Email help@hacestek.com. We will forward the request to Paddle on your behalf.

What's covered

The 14-day window applies to the Layoff Document Self-Check, the Full Layoff Triage Report, and Document Clarity. Duplicate charges and unresolved access issues are handled by support and do not count against your 14-day window.

After 14 days

Paddle may evaluate exceptions after the 14-day window on a case-by-case basis (for example, billing errors or technical issues that prevented you from accessing what you paid for). Outside of those situations, refunds are not guaranteed after 14 days.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong with your order, please contact support before opening a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks are investigated by Paddle and may result in loss of access to the product.
