Terms

Last updated: May 5, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Laid Off in America, a digital educational product operated by Hacestek International LLC. Using the product means you agree to these terms.

Age requirement

Laid Off in America is intended for users who are 18 years or older. Do not use this product if you are under 18.

No professional relationship

Using this product does not create an attorney-client, accountant, tax-advisor, financial-advisor, immigration-counsel, or insurance-broker relationship.

Selections-based Self-Check

The Layoff Document Self-Check works from the selections you make in your browser. It does not include document upload or pasted document text. We do not use chat messages, lead form submissions, survey answers, Self-Check selections, or Document Clarity text to train our own AI models.

User responsibility

Do not submit Social Security numbers, passport numbers, I-94 numbers, bank account details, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information. You are responsible for redacting information that the tool does not need.

Purchases

The Layoff Document Self-Check and Full Layoff Triage Report are one-time, non-recurring digital purchases at the prices shown at checkout. There is no subscription.

Refund policy

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refunds are issued by Paddle. You can request a refund within 14 days at paddle.net or by emailing support@laidoffinamerica.com. Duplicate charges and unresolved access issues should be reported to support.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product in the 12 months preceding the claim. In no event are we liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected on this page; continued use of the product after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
